Actor Joseph Leon was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. At the beginning of his acting career, Leon was featured in dramas like "Sweet Smell of Success" (1957) with Burt Lancaster and "The People Next Door" (1970) with Eli Wallach. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Hey, Landlord" (NBC, 1966-67) and "Ryan's Hope" (ABC, 1974-1989). He kept working in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, starring in the romance "If Ever I See You Again" (1978) with Joseph Brooks, the horror movie "He Knows You're Alone" (1980) with Don Scardino and the dramatic adaptation "Sophie's Choice" (1982) with Meryl Streep. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Ivan the Terrible" (CBS, 1975-76). He also starred in the TV movies "My Old Man" (CBS, 1979-1980) and "Skokie" (CBS, 1981-82). During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the drama "Daniel" (1983) with Timothy Hutton, "Cold Feet" (1984) with Griffin Dunne and the comedy adaptation "Brewster's Millions" (1985) with Richard Pryor. He also appeared in the Dudley Moore comedy sequel "Arthur 2 On The Rocks" (1988). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Two Mrs. Grenvilles" (1986-87). Most recently, Leon worked on "Margarita Happy Hour" (2002) with Eleanor Hutchins.
